2. Church of St. Francis Xavier
46 West 16th Street
Three O’Clock in the Afternoon
We will declare our love before God and man in the Church of St. Francis Xavier, near Union Square in Manhattan. As recently as 1625, this was a mile north of civilization, nothing more than a beaver infested wilderness. But now it’s a lovely Jesuit church in a bustling metropolis.
The first time we attended St. Francis, we prayed for immigration reform, gay rights, and the dignity of women. We knew we’d found a community that reflected our values.
Following the ceremony, buses will take all guests to the reception.
3. The Liberty Warehouse
260 Conover St
After the ceremony, we will convey our guests to The Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn for festivities including but not limited to:
Please note that the Statue of Liberty will keep a watchful eye on the proceedings from her perch across the harbor.
4. New York Water Taxi
Fairway Pier in Red Hook back to Pier 11 in Lower Manhattan
All aboard! Following the reception, at 10:30 pm a ferry will bring guests back to Pier 11, Wall Street, Manhattan, a short walk from the hotels. (A bus will also be provided for landlubbers.)
5. Jim Brady’s
75 Maiden Lane
Join us for a nightcap at this local bar, a short stumble from all the downtown hotels.
